Dear JZ and James,


An amazing thing happened while I was using James’ camera on the archery fields yesterday.
I walked up and down the stations and zoned in on each archer. Out of a couple hundred people participating in the session, I only photographed closeups of a select dozen or so who were compelling to capture. What kept happening over and over was incredible — literally, most of the archers I photographed in the next moments hit their targets or came super close.

You can see this if you follow the sequence of the pictures in order. I walked the rows, took pictures of archery in process, and ran from field to field returning at the end of each shoot to photograph any targets.
I think I was analogical with the archers, who were analogical. It was like horse racing and picking the winners. I didn’t mean to do it but it kept happening. The event was outstanding and there were many, many people, parents, and children with personal victory stories. Very inspiring.
