Congratulations, Midnightblue Auld!
Congratulations to Yelm High School student Midnightblue Auld for being one of the youngest graduates in 39 years and possibly ever to graduate from Yelm High School at fifteen years of age. Ms. Auld received several scholarships at the June 2nd Yelm High School Awards Night, including one from Yelm's Mayor Ron Harding. She is also the youngest person ever to be admitted to South Puget Sound Community College's Running Start Program. She is continuing at Western Washington University this summer, going for a double major in dance and theatre arts.

A group of RSE Students Receive Prestigious Award for Exemplary Public Service
Congratulations to RSE students Diane Dondero, Sara Foster, Bob Foster, Linda Powell, Bertha Rainen, and Louise SaintOnge, who were part of the team that received the State’s special Extra Mile Award!

The team operated between December 13, 2007, and February 28, 2008, as part of the Presidential disaster declaration for the floods and windstorms of December 2007 in Washington State.

RSE Student Yazmin Sanchez from Mexico Quickly Masters New Language and Delivers Opening Speech at Annual Literacy Conference
“I started to study English last September and two months ago they asked me to help as an assistant tutor. In May they asked me to deliver the opening speech at their annual fund-raiser conference. I still find it difficult to speak in English and remember some of the words, but when I started delivering my speech at the conference in front of more than 400 people, the room went silent and everyone paid close attention. This shows me that the disciplines I learned at RSE work! I practiced C&E® every day in preparation for this speech. They congratulated me and published the story in the local newspapers. Thank you, JZ, for letting us learn from Ramtha.”
