Barton Biggs, Morgan Stanley’s financial expert for over thirty years and chief global strategist when he retired in 2003, has some unexpected advice for the rich in his new book, Wealth, War and Wisdom:

“Insure yourself against war and disaster by buying a remote farm or ranch and stocking it with ‘seed, fertilizer, canned food, wine, medicine, clothes, etc.’ The ‘etc.’ must mean guns,” reports Bloomberg.com Financial News.

“Biggs message: Listen to markets, learn from history and prepare for the worst. The rich get complacent, assuming they will have time ‘to extricate themselves and their wealth’ when trouble comes, Biggs says. The rich are mistaken, as the Holocaust proves. ‘Events move much faster than anyone expects,’ he says, ‘and the barbarians are on top of you before you can escape,’ ” reported James Pressley for Bloomberg.com Financial News, January 30, 2008.

Biggs’ recommendations in his new book echo Ramtha’s advice of the last twenty years warning about the Earth changes coming, the collapse of the global economy, and their devastating consequences:

   “The Earth in its evolution and its need to go forward and sustain itself is on a violent course with humanity. Nature is going to be in violent opposition to humanity, who refuse to listen and cannot fortify themselves on a piece of land. Who is going to feed all the people who have moved to the cities, who are living on top of one another, who are living in places where there is no earth, and no flowers are blooming save in superficial parks? They are the successful, they are the middle class, they are going for more wealth, but who will take care of them and put the bread upon their table?”

   “With the weather changes in the days that are coming, man is in the most vulnerable position he has ever lived in because he has moved away from the good earth. Throughout all time and all great changes that have occurred within lifetimes, even in my lifetime, humanity was sovereign enough to go with the flow, since humanity lived in harmony with its environment because that was its home. Arduous are the times in the days that are here even this hour.”
